Time to update again. I need to get back to as normal a life as possible--I hope you all understand. The victims and their friends/families are still very much in my thoughts.

On that note, WDS has updated their objects with a relevant item--an American flag. I've been told by American friends that they're very hard to find now, as these events seem to have brought out the patriotic nature in everyone, but your Sims can have one.

Simfreaks has taken a similar route, with their new Statue of Liberty, built as large as possible. There are also some new oval mirrors.

There are some fabulous new outfits at Jezebel's Closet, based on the Spring 2002 shows that were completed in New York before the attacks. I'm really glad she's decided to return.

Boutika has updated a couple of times since I last updated, under both Labels and Work. Check out a small Nanette Lepore collection in Labels, and some classy and stylish new Work outfits. Make sure to keep thinking good thoughts for Miss B's speedy recovery, as she was injured in the WTC attack.

Gah! SimSisters will have to be deleted on Monday, because of their high traffic (they're on a free server). The sale site will stay for a while, but will have limited offerings as well. There's a good chance they'll be back soon, but check them out while you still can, if you haven't been yet. And wish them luck in the forum!

"The United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked. The United States was at Peace with the world. We have been looking towards the maintenance of world peace. This attack was deliberately planned days or even weeks ago. The attack on our cities has caused damage to civilians and economic centers. Very many American lives have been lost.

The facts, so far, today speak for themselves. The American people have already formed their opinions, and well undertstand the implications to the very life and safety of our nation. The commander in chief has directed our forces in our defense. Always, will our whole nation remember the character of the onslaught against us.

No matter how long it may take us to overcome this premeditated invasion, the America people in their righteous might will win through to absolute victory. We will not only defend ourselves to the uttermost, but we will make certain that this form of treachery shall never again endanger us again. We will gain the inevitable triumph, so help us God.

This was an unprovoked and dastardly attack on the United States."

Franklin D. Roosevelt, December 8, 1941

At a time like this, it seems really wrong to think about a game.

I'm not sure how to officially shut down this page, since I don't host it, but I wanted to post something here to show my solidarity and my good wishes for all Americans, and for everyone affected by the events of Tuesday in any way. I won't be updating the blog with Sims posts for a while, but I wanted to post something here to show that I am thinking about everyone involved.

Remember: we must keep our heads. We can't start throwing stones until we know what happened, and when retribution is sought, we must make sure it doesn't make the situation worse. If we turn around and bomb innocent people in the name of revenge, we're no better. Things will be put right, but there's a just way to go about it. We need to keep that at the forefront.

My thoughts are with you. Anyone who wants to talk, because I know it helps, the message board is open.

Woo--3000 hits! Thanks to everyone who checks this out :)

Simfreaks has some cute new outfits by Cherie and Ahn today. I really like the pink and orange striped tops, and the wide legged jeans are very well done as well. There's a few new heads too.

More new clothes at Sultry Earth--they're some nice shorter formal dresses. The detail on them is really good.

Check out the new evening skins at Boutika--I especially like Face Me and Chocolate Pudding.

SimSisters has updated with some new objects (the Egyptian cats are a cute idea) and a couple of heads (one male, one female).

Sarah has made some new female skins for All About Skins. Also, check out the preview of the punk set.

Tons and tons of new heads at Barairo no jinsei. I love the Japanese schoolgirls, and it's nice to have some more Asian male heads.
